Aileen is continually in her own professional and personal development which forms an integral part of her annual re-registration as an independent UK therapist.

Aileen is also a highly qualified UK Registered Independent Counsellor and Psychotherapist (UKRCP) with 18 years' of wide-ranging experience working with individual clients and couples. She's been on the National UK Register for approved independent counsellors and psychotherapists, having worked in the NHS, in education, through public or private organisations, and taking private client referrals alongside those from many different agencies, including Health Insurance schemes.
Increasingly, Aileen is using Mindfulness as part of her integrative therapeutic approach with individual clients, particularly those experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, pain or illness. Many clients report significant positive changes in their behaviour, anxiety and stress levels as a result of engaging with Mindfulness practices. Aileen has held her own practice in meditation for 15 years.
Aileen has trained with Manchester-based Mindfulness Training organisation Breathworks for 3 years. Breathworks trains mindfulness practitioners across Britain and Ireland, and in other countries, including Sweden, Germany, New Zealand and Australia. Aileen is currently studying for a Masters degree in Mindfulness-based therapeutic practices at Bangor University as part of her continuing training and interest in working this way with clients and groups.
